Adult Education

Fourth Presbyterian offers a wide range of adult education.  Church school is every Sunday at 10:00 am, between both worship services.  Anyone is welcome to join a class at any time.

SCHEDULE: Sunday Mornings From 10:00 AM - 10:50 AM

BIBLE AND THEOLOGY:  Room 23 (or Fellowship Hall) - "An Introduction to the Reformed Tradition" In preparation for the Endowed Lecture Series focusing on John Calvin, in this the 500th anniversary of his birth, this class will look at important aspects of the legacy of John Calvin in shaping our faith, our prayer-life and worship, and our involvement in God"s ongoing reformation of all of life. CHRISTIAN TOPICS:   Room 25 - "You and your Aging Parent" A series of classes led by professionals in the medical, geriatric, financial and psychological fields designed to foster discussion and offer resources to those of us who are caring or will care for aging parents, while at the same time care for the needs of our children. THE INTERACTIONS CLASS:  The Mildred Crymes Room - "The Thoughtful Christian:" Using the curriculum by the same name, this member led class will bring together biblical resources and contemporary issues, share their thoughts and beliefs, and wrestle with questions that inform the way we live out our faith in today’s world. Class Members

THE INQUIRER'S CLASS: SESSION ROOM - This semiannual set of classes looks at all aspects of the Presbyterian Church in general and specifically at Fourth Presbyterian for those considering membership. Topics such as church history, polity, theology and worship & sacraments are presented. Dr. Steve Vance and Buz Wilcoxon
