CHURCH SCHOOL CLASSES & CURRICULA
Fourth Presbyterian Church offers classes for all ages.
In keeping with the Reformed Tradition and its emphasis on learning,
the Church strongly encourages Christian Education participation by all
members.
SCHEDULE: Sunday Mornings From 10:00 AM – 10:50 AM
CHILDREN
 NURSERY (Birth to 18 months)
A Nursery is provided during the Church School Hour
(10:00 AM) and each Sunday Morning Worship (8:45 AM and 11:15
AM). When
your child reaches the next age, you may move him/her up to the next
class if
you wish.
18 MONTHS THROUGH 2 YEAR OLDS
The study will be on Old Testament stories from God Loves Me, from the
Christian Reformed Church.
3 & 4 YEAR OLDS
Bible stories will be taught from the Walk With Me series, which
comes from the Christian Reformed Church
5 & 6 YEAR OLD KINDERGARTEN
Bible stories will be taught from our new “We Believe”
curriculum, which comes from the Presbyterian Church (USA).
GRADES 1 – 5
Our Elementary children are a part of the The Crossway,
a workshop rotation model, using stories from the Bible, and organized
by The Crossway
Committee. Each month we study a different Bible story, and each week
of the month the students go to a different room. They participate in
the “Acts” Room, the “Thou Art” Room, the “Temple” Room, the
“4th.com” Room and, at times, the “Fourth Café” Room, or the
“Sounds Divine” Room, or the “Mission Possible” Room. This is an
exciting way to take our children “back to the basics” of the stories
of the Bible, and provides everyone an Awesome Adventure.
To find out which room your 1st- 5th grader will use
each Sunday
morning,
please check the bulletin board in the hallway. All classes will gather
at 9:55 in the 'Acts' room
and then go with their teacher to their assigned room.
