Mission and Witness
The Mission and Witness
Committee of Fourth Presbyterian Church welcomes your input and
participation. Meetings are held monthly, usually on the 2nd
Wednesday of the month in the Session Room. The committee
currently consists of John Marshall (chair), Clint Edwards, Scott
Jones, Gene Krcelic, Ed Loftis, and Beth Meyer.

United
Ministries is an extension of the servant ministry of
cooperating local congregations and assists needy people in moving
toward self-reliance through a variety of programs. Volunteer
opportunities are numerous.
Fourth Presbyterian aids and assists United Ministries
not only through annual benevolences, but also with many
volunteer-hours. Clicking the “United Ministries” banner above will

Sterling Community Outreach
The Sterling Community of Greenville is centered at the
Sterling Community Center located on Minus Street near St. Francis
Hospital. Fourth Presbyterian and the community have worked
together to form many relationships and programs and festivals.
Fourth Presbyterian calls you
to action every weekday from 3:30pm until 5:00pm to participate in the After
School Program. Please contact Wain Wesberry via the
church office for directions and specifics.

Habitat
for Humanity of Greenville County is a non-profit,
ecumenical Christian housing ministry. It was founded in 1985 and is
serious about helping families move out of substandard shelter into
simple, decent housing. The basis of Habitat is Christian principles
and the belief that all God's people deserve to live in safe, decent
and affordable shelter.
Its never too soon to begin our own 'Talent Hunt'. If you have special
construction talents, please contact the church office– we need your
help. All are welcome to participate in this very special and
meaningful ministry that puts good people into good houses that we help
to build.

Pendleton
Place provides a temporary home and in some instances, a
longer-term residence, for the abused, neglected and abandoned children
of Greenville County, addressing their physical, emotional and
education needs in a safe and caring environment.

Shepherd's Gate
Shepherd's Gate is a shelter for
homeless women and families. Major volunteer needs are in the Child
Development Center, where children stay while their mothers are looking
for work
You can help Shepherd's Gate by serving meals, assisting with special
events, teaching life skills classes, tutoring GED students, answering
phones, or helping in day care.
