Stewardship

A MESSAGE FROM THE STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE

This is an important time in our lives as Christians and as members of Fourth Presbyterian Church. We have been entrusted with so many gifts and resources, and we are called to use them wisely and in a manner that reflects our gratitude to God’s great love for us. In another sense our congregation is also “Between Times”—between the retirement of a senior pastor of our Church and the time when we call a new one. Especially during this time it is vitally important for each of us to make a contribution of our time, talents and financial resources to the life and mission of Fourth Presbyterian Church. If each of us will do our best to contribute to the best of our ability, however great or small that may be, the Fabric of our Faith and of our congregation will be that much the stronger.

Please pray for our Church, that God will continue to bless and strengthen this congregation so that we may be a blessing to others.

New electronic giving option

Many new avenues are available for our membership to meet tithing obligations.  One of the more attractive is automatic debit.  Many of you may already pay mortgages, utility bills, dues and other payments in this manner.  Fourth Presbyterian will be offering the automatic debit as a payment option for 2012.

The electronic payment process is safe and effective.  Periodic payments would be created whether you are in attendance or on vacation.  To better meet individual budgeting preferences, this option is available for weekly, bi-monthly or monthly payments.  To enroll, all we need is for you complete and sign the attached form, attach a voided or cancelled check and leave with the church office for processing.

The first transaction would take place on Friday, January 6, 2012.
