VACATION CHURCH SCHOOL, this year will be the week of July 27-31 from 9:00- Our project this year is the Ronald McDonald House and we will be collecting various types of supplies for them; paper towels, splenda packets, cotton blankets, individual packets of sweet and salty snacks, plastic cold cups, AA batteries to name just a few. A complete wish list can be found on their website; www.rmhgreenville.org. Click on the “how you can help” link to find the wish list. All of the children will be dropped off and picked up at the parking lot door. They will be put in your car, so you do not need to park and come in. You can register online at http://www.cokesburyvbs.com. Online registration is available until June 15. After that date, registration forms will be available in the church office and need to be returned to the church office no later than Sunday, June 28. If you have trouble registering, please call or e-mail Rebeckah Macfie at 675-9593, rebeckahmacfie@gmail.com. We are requesting a $5.00 donation for each camper. Donations may be dropped into the designated box in the church office. On Friday, we will have a short program and lunch for our children and their parents. The program will begin at 11:45 and will last about an hour. Lunch will be provided (however, donations will be accepted!) CD’s are also available in the church office and can be purchased for $5.00. These CD’s are great and really help your child learn the songs and there are computer games on their as well. The theme of VCS this year is camping, so if you have any tents, sleeping bags or camp type items that the VCS committee could borrow to decorate with, we would be most appreciative. You can drop your items by Donna’s office. Please identify them with your name. We will also need to borrow Christmas trees as we get closer to July. We have an exciting week planned for members of Fourth age’s 3-grade 5. For our children in Pre-School – grade 3 in addition to our storytelling and crafts, we are very excited to include once again the very popular science focus in our rotation this year and think the children will love it! We are also continuing with the music rotation that will have everyone singing all of the great music. Our 4th & 5th graders do things a little differently. Each day they will be doing a mission project. They will be going to various agencies throughout the week helping with projects and needs that they might have. This is a great way for our kids to help others firsthand. If your child is in this age group, a permission form will be required. These will be sent in the mail. Please call the church office if you do not receive one. We have a very large group this year and will need to plan early, so please return your registration forms as soon as you can.
